About tafdoc

tafdoc is an athletics wiki, or track and field wiki depending on where you live, created and maintained by Vincent Delcros.

Why tafdoc

tafdoc was born from a very pragmatic need: to easily share concepts and exercises with athletes and other coaches. Instead of explaining the same drill again and again, or sending a video without context, each exercise gets its own clear page that can be linked to.

What you’ll find

  • Exercises: drills explained step by step, often with a video.
  • Training principles: the ideas behind the exercises and how training is organised.

How it works

tafdoc works like a wiki. Each page stands on its own: it starts with the essentials, then goes deeper. Pages are connected by tags: a tag page gathers everything on a topic, and each page suggests related pages at the bottom. The search bar is often the fastest way in.

The content is written for everyone: athletes, coaches, parents or simply curious people.

Reusing the content

The content is published under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 licence: you can share and adapt it, as long as you credit the source, don’t use it commercially and share your version under the same licence.

Part of taf.tools

tafdoc is independent and free. It belongs to taf.tools, a set of tools dedicated to track and field. If you find it useful, feel free to support the project.

The site is built with Hugo and the Hextra theme.
